Why do guys always want to conquer the good girl? Its like as soon as a he finds out what she is all about, her morals and her beliefs he just wants to see if he can corrupt her or something. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it all…

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails..

And now these three things remain: faith hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Lord, lately I have been slipping and I ask that you bring me back on track. I have been worried about the wrong things and focusing my attention on stuff that shouldn’t be a top priority in my life at the moment.  Because I’ve been so off course, I’m feeling lost, confused, sad and doubtful…emotions that you brought me out of awhile back…emotions that I’m slowly coming back to me because I’ve strayed for a little bit.

Lord, I ask that you remove those feelings out of my heart and replace them with understanding, confidence, happiness and clarity. I know You can do all things and I know you can restore my faith in myself. You are the focus of my life and I must remember that…I give you all the glory and I asks all these things in your name. Amen.

Once God closes a door, do not go behind Him and try to open it. Nothing good comes out of a forced opportunity, relationship or friendship. You have to be secure in yourself and your relationship with God and ask for help. Ask Him to help you let the past be the past. He even says it himself: Isaiah 43:18- Forget the Former Things; Do NOT dwell on the past.

At some point, you have to move forward, upward and on. With His help, you can truly be still and know that He has your best interest in mind. If you ever feel yourself slipping into that dark place, that uncertainty or that ”comfort zone” of the former, just remember this: Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”

Once God closes that door…that chapter in your life, keep it closed. God has something bigger and better in store for you. Believe that.

Just because you love someone does not mean that God created them for you. Just as people are seasonal in your life, you are seasonal in others lives as well. By changing yourself or putting on a costume does not trick God into letting you stay in a season in which you do not belong. Your steps are ordered to be a blessing to others along your path. Listen to His word and move when you are asked to move. #trustinHim

For everything there is a season. Don’t take someone/thing to a season in which it does not belong. When God reveals to you that its/their season is over. Trust in him to be able to shut the door. When you turn around, there will be an open one waiting for you. #trustinHim ♥

I don’t remember if I did a random note for April. I think I did but who knows…I have some updates on things but it’s not all that exciting…

1. This job hunt really is no joke. I’ve started applying for some jobs here and there in the Marketing/Social Media/ Public Relations but the experience these companies want you to have just doesn’t allow alot of entry level people like myself to come in a get a job. I’m just praying that God allows someone to see the potential I have and give me a chance.
2. Need to get my transcripts from the other colleges that I DON’T owe money to so I can get this grad school application in.

This is officially the shortest Random Note I have ever produced. I think that is just because my life has been revolving around these two items ( Jobs and Graduate School) so yea. Maybe in June my life will get a little bit more exciting.

I’m sitting here looking at all the walls that have built up around me. By now I thought that they would have been demolished. Gone. A faint memory. But they are still here. All my thoughts, hopes, dreams, fears just surrounding me. These walls just stay hindering me.

Sooner or later, I’ll break free…

Are you determined to forget the past? I know many people don’t fully understand what that means. They wonder, “How can I forget something that’s happened to me?” But one definition of the word forget is to disregard intentionally or to overlook. In other words, you have to choose to disregard your past so that it doesn’t hold you back. That means the good and the bad. Sometimes our past victories keep us from rising higher as much as our past failures can. If we don’t let go of the old, we’ll never be able to embrace the new.

It doesn’t matter what’s happened in your past, it’s time to forget what lies behind and make the choice to look forward. Trust that God has a better future in store for you. Trust that He’s working behind the scenes on your behalf. Trust that He who promised is faithful—as you forget what lies behind and press forward, you’ll experience His power and blessing in a fresh, new way.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, I choose to forget the past today. I don’t want anything to hold me back from the good future You have prepared for me. I choose forgiveness and ask that You help me, by Your Spirit, to press forward in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
